Research interests

  • Enzyme assays: various analytical applications including bioactivity testing and food contaminant screening
  • Smartphone-based analysis
  • Food authentication assessment using:   
    • spectroscopic principles: FTIR (cereal and honey authentication), UV-VIS (wine authenticity)
    • instrumental analysis: UPLC-qTOF-MS (honey authenticity), ICP-MS (dairy and meat products authentication)
  • Targeted quantitative analysis:
    • LC-MS/MS (plastic additives in soil, earthworm and food matrices), DART-MS (pesticide and mycotoxin residue screening in food matrices)
